 As Director of Employee Benefits Brokerage & Consulting at Cummings, Michael is charged with new business development.   He keeps his pulse on all facets of the business by staying engaged with current employer group clients by way of claim performance benchmarking and plan review as well as high-level issue resolution. His specialty is self-funding and crafting creative solutions for employer groups and their benefit plans.

Michael is a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and The Catholic University of America.

Michael has earned the designations of Chartered Healthcare Consultant and Registered Health Underwriter from the American College. Additionally, Michael has obtained the designation of Certified Self-Funding

Specialist from the Health Care Administrators Association.

Michael resides in Scranton with his wife, Andrea, their three children, Owen, Cecilia, and Emmett, and their dog, Charlie. 

Ryan is a seasoned professional with a strong background in: commercial insurance underwriting, cyber risk analysis, and surety bonding. As the Director of Property and Casualty at Cummings Insurance Agency, he leads a team of dedicated professionals, providing exceptional insurance solutions. Our strong carrier partnerships, attention to detail, and independent platform allow us to meet the needs of any type of risk.

 Ken joined Cummings Insurance Agency in October 2015, bringing over 36 years of experience in the insurance business.  Ken focuses primarily on servicing his employee benefits clients.

In addition to group medical, dental, short and long term disability, and life insurance, he is well versed in all Medicare Programs including supplemental plans, advantage plans, and Part D prescription plans.

Ken lives at Crystal Lake with wife Denise. He has three step-children - Eddie, Ashley and Hayley and three grandchildren - Stella, Jack and Kingsley.

Besides spending time with his family, Ken is an avid golfer participating in many events statewide.  He is a member at Elkview Country Club located across the lake from his home at Crystal Lake.

Michele began her career with Travelers learning about health insurance, employer-sponsored group insurance; including medical, dental, vision, life and disability in order to sell through brokers or direct to customers.

She also worked with Health America on their mid-market sales team.  Michele has been working on the Agency side since 1996. First, in a sales role,  and servicing clients since 1997.

As Director of Employee Benefits Services, Michele is responsible for all aspects of service including managing the service team.  She works with clients with compliance, HR questions, claims Issues, enrollment, and

assisting in complex situations.

She lives with her husband, Michael and has 2 adult children, Kailee and Emily.  She also

directs the handbell choirs and children’s choirs at church.

 Jake Dougherty is responsible for quoting and selling new business for personal lines with a concentration on Auto and Home Insurance.  He also handles requoting and reviewing renewals, handling endorsements, managing claims, and billing issues.

Jake has been a licensed insurance agent since 2010.  Jake is a 2003 graduate of Scranton Prep and a 2007 Graduate from Furman University.  He resides in Scranton with his wife and 2 daughters.

  Mike Snyder is a Graduate of Scranton Prep and The University of Scranton. As an account executive for Cummings Insurance, Mike works closely with clients to establish and maintain their employee benefits. Mike combines his passion of understanding people’s needs with his background in business to help small business owners navigate benefit packages that bring positive outcomes for their employees and business. 

Ed O'Malley is a 

licensed property and casualty agent. Ed concentrates more on the commercial lines of insurance.  His daily duties include servicing existing clients, analyzing renewals, and quoting new business. Ed is a 1999 graduate of West Scranton High School, and a 2003 graduate of Kings College (political science/economics)

Ed lives in Dunmore with his wife Elizabeth, and his children Molly and Eddie

 Mitch is a 2021 Graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business Risk Management and Insurance program. Mitch works on the Employee Benefits team as an Account Executive. He specializes in small group health insurance and primarily deals with groups between 2-50 employees. Some of his daily tasks include creating detailed client analysis, enrolling employees in their group insurance, and working directly with our clients and carriers to investigate claims related questions.
